Danny Groenenboom and Max Oude Weernink, better known as "Dirtcaps", were born in the year 1987, right before the 1988 ‘summer of love’. The guys come from Haarlem, a small town right next to Amsterdam.

This town seems to be a nursery for musical talent, since loads of Dutch dj’s and bands find their origin in Haarlem. As the Dirtcaps grew up together they developed an interest and common love for music.

As youngsters they were already spinning at local school parties and were getting noticed. As they grew older the venues grew bigger and they were asked for more serious gigs. Dirtcaps already played in most of Holland’s renowned clubs, with residencies and gigs at FFWD, Paradiso, Dillema, Duszdat, Stalker and Rebel Club.

Since they were 15 Dirtcaps also started to develop their production skills. Their first release is called "Needle Trip" and had a big support all over the world. Well known dj's as Laidback Luke, The Bulgarian, Don Diablo, Chuckie, Afrojack, Joachim Garraud, Karotte, Benny Rodriques, Mark Mendes and Quintino are chart and play almost all of their releases. They had a small "hit" with their remix for Carlo Lia "Throw Your hands up", which reached the 8th place in the Beatport chart. Their style is unique, the best way to describe it is a mix of techno, techhouse, minimal and fidget.

Nowadays Dirtcaps is a well known duo in Holland and they’re ready to spread their wings and take over Europe. They will certainly blow your head off with their energetic dj sets, so make sure to catch them when they’re up in your neighborhood.
